This bowl features the rare Sphinx pattern (#378) by Lancaster Glass, known for its detailed etchings of sphinxes, date palm trees, and other ornaments inspired by Egyptian Revival style.
It was produced for only one year, 1937, and came in yellow (Topaz) and green, in three bowl and three vase shapes.
Lancaster glass is considered “elegant glass" due to its clarity.
