This is a vintage General Electric Model 408 vacuum tube radio from the early 1950s.
The cabinet is constructed from Bakelite, great shiny surface with the exception of the top of radio where some cloudiness is visible. No cracks or chips. This table radio model features both AM and FM reception capabilities and works great. See video. It is often referred to as an “atomic" style radio due to the emblem on the center knob. Knobs work as they should and radio powers on and off. Tuning knob moves the needle. Approx 13.5" × 8" x 8" tall. Weighs just under 9 pounds. Has one bolt missing from the bottom of the radio. Radio has been well cared for and perfect for the vintage electronics enthusiast! See pictures for details.
